Tret Fure
Tret Fure
April 11th ~ 7:30pm

Tret Fure’s musical career began with performing at coffeehouses when she was 16. By age 19, she was touring with and writing for Spencer Davis. Soon she was opening for acts like Yes, Poco, and Bonnie Raitt. Now in her 4th decade as a performing artist, Tret still tours nationally sharing her gifts as a singer-songwriter with audiences around the country. Her plainspoken poetry spans subjects as varied as the endless wars in the Middle East, the strength and constancy of a special love, and the fading small towns that were once the back bone of America. Elizabeth Saxton will open this concert with both some original songs and some cleverly re-imagined ones.

“Fure’s lyric's are candid and refreshingly honest...” - Dirty Linen

“Tret opens both heart and mind and gives herself over to the music. And it is beautiful music.” - Roberta Schwartz, FAME
