Emma's Revolution
September
13th ~ 7:30pm

Pat Humphries and Sandy Opatow are part of a new generation of true folk singers. Their songs are about truth and justice and freedom.  Pat's anthems "Keep on Moving Forward, "Common Thread", and "Swimming to the Other Side", are sung at peace and justice events around the world and have been translated into seven languages. "Keep on Moving Forward" opened the Fourth UN World Conference on Women in Beijing in 1995. Sandy's “If I Give Your Name” won Grand Prize in the Folk Category of the John Lennon songwriting contest.  Emma's Revolution is smart, funny and informative - like Jon Stewart and Rachel Madow with guitars. They bring their uprising of truth, hope, and a dash of healthy irreverence to their concerts across the US.

“. . . extraordinary young people writing songs." - Pete Seeger

“Emma's Revolution stands out among those voices that deliver a nudge to our conscience and our sense of who we could be.” - The Daily Herald, Everett, WA
