‘Bold’, ‘Brutally Honest’, ‘In Your Face’ - these are
common remarks about Grant's music. Of course they are
often accompanied by terms like ‘Beautiful’, ‘Conviction’,
‘Literate’, and ‘Depth’. Grant spent 11 years on a tiny
island off the coast of Nicaragua. He returned in 2006 to
a very different homeland. Much of his songwriting is a
response to what he found when he returned. He has played
at major festivals and venues across the country, and his
albums have topped the Folk/Roots charts in both the U.S.
and Europe. His stage persona is witty and humorous, but
when he starts to perform you know he means business. This
will be the most 'Real' live show you have seen in a long
time - maybe ever. Houston Singer-songwriter Leslie Krafka
will open the concert with some of her own beautiful

Millbend Coffeehouse, a part of
the social outreach of
Northwoods Unitarian Universalist Church, meets
the 2nd Saturday of every month and is a smoke free, family friendly

Gourmet Fair Trade coffee and a variety of

by audience vote.
